Hike to Castle Connor (weather permitting)

(for the adventurous – hiking boots recommended)

*Please note – you must be a member in good standing in order to vote during the Gathering. Your registration and membership fees allow you to vote.

Once you’ve completed registration join the Walking Tour of Enniscrone

Meet our Neighbors and get to know Enniscrone! Join in on the FUN of a Treasure Hunt throughout Enniscrone.  Complete the “hunt” and win a prize!

(advance registration required – 50 Euro for research completed prior to the Gathering)


Ocean Sands Ballroom

25 Euro per person –  includes “Small Plates” and pay as you go bar available

6pm  Meet and Greet Come mingle with members of the O’Dubhda Clan who have come to the Gathering from Around the World.   Our speaker Thursday evening is Conor McHale – Subject – “O’Dubhda History”.  Entertainment that evening with Pascal O’Dowd.

Silent Auction Opens (items will be available to bid on beginning Thursday Evening. Auction will Close Saturday morning.  If you would like to contribute to the Silent Auction, please contact Kieran O’Dowd)

50/50 raffle.  Half of all ticket revenue sold will be given to the winner!!

9 am Departure  (25 Euro per person)

1) Strokestown and  Famine Museum, Abbey and Castle in Roscommon, Daithi’s Stone,  Workhouse near Enniscrone.  (Lunch at Famine Museum Cafe is available)
2) O’Dubhda Castles (Sligo/Ballina) — Ballina Abbey and Rosserk Friary/ Killala/Foghill

Lecture by Marion Dowd

We are pleased to have Dr. Marion Dowd as our guest speaker.

Marion Dowd is an archaeologist. She is best known for her book, The Archaeology of Caves in Ireland which won Book of the Year at the 2016 Archaeology Awards.

Following our guest speaker, School Scholarship Presentations to local students

2pm   Inauguration of Taoiseach (location to be determined)

4-5pm Tour of Belleek Castle and Museum/ Cocktails

SUNDAY  October 7, 2018

Catholic Mass at 9am,  Our Lady, Assumed into Heaven

O’Dubhda Marathon – Want to participate?  Let us know and we’ll get you signed up.  Join our Clan in encouraging those participating and cheering them on to the finish line!  There is also a Half Marathon, 10 K and 5 K. We expect that the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10 K will start at 9.00 am and the 5 K will start at 11.00. More details will follow in our Newsletters.
