My Grandfather was Thomas O’Dowd from Rockfield Clairmorris. He emigrated alone to England at age 14 years. I think he was born in 1870’s. I am Married to Phil Flanagan (Irish Citizen) and emigrated to Australia in 1983 we have to son’s Thomas and James. Currently trying to obtain my grandfathers birth certificate so I can hoepfully obtain Irish citizenship

My ancestor, John Duddy, was born in Ireland in 1828 and his wife, Bridget Cogan (or Collins) was born there in 1830. They emigrated to NY in the 1850’s and eventually settled in Brooklyn and raised James, John, William, Ann and Delia–my great grandmother.
